South Africa will wait until the very last minute to say if Kagiso Rabada is fit for the first Test match against Australia. As the team got ready for the challenge, Kagiso Rabada’s participation in the first game of the series, which was held in Durban from October 9–13, was still uncertain because he hurt his hamstring during winter training.
Batting coach Ashwell Prince gave a report on Kagiso Rabada‘s recovery after the player played in a two-day intra-squad match on October 5 and 6.
South Africa was finishing up getting ready for the first Test at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium when the review took place.

Ackerman hit the door hard with runs: Prince
Prince confirmed that he has a good idea of who will be in the top six but can’t say. This suggests that South Africa is also keeping their batting order a secret. When asked if Tristan Stubbs, Wiaan Mulder, or David Bedingham could fill in at No. 3, Prince also named rookie batsman Marques Ackerman as a possibility. This makes it more likely that he will play his first Test match at home.
