Gautam Gambhir talked about how hard it was for India’s bowlers during the West Indies’ game. It was hard for the bowlers to keep control of the ball on the level, dew-covered pitch at the JSCA International Stadium Complex. India got West Indies down to 5 for 2 in the first over and 58 for 3 in the sixth over, but they came back strong in the middle overs.
Roston Chase got rid of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Shivam Dube, taking three wickets for 24 runs in four overs. However, India’s batting effort was built on a good score. The West Indies were chasing because of Sherfane Rutherford’s 84 off 37 balls and Shai Hope’s unbeaten 102 off 45 balls. They were able to score 501 runs and 33 sixes in 38.3 overs, which was their best T20I chase ever.
